Extension To Complete Construction For HomeBuilder Scheme
Mar 31, 2023
Earlier this week, Federal Housing Minister Julie Collins announced the government would work with the states and territories to extend the deadline for people to submit their paperwork from the government's HomeBuilder Scheme.
The deadline was originally April 30, 2023 and will now be pushed out to June 30, 2025.
Since HomeBuilder was introduced in June 2020, in excess of 121,000 people applied for the scheme.
Red23 Managing Director Terry Portelli, has welcomed the decision by the Federal Government saying, “This announcement has taken pressure off our Builder and Developer partners in managing their congested construction pipeline brought on from the successful scheme. It will also provide our buyers with the extra confidence that their new home will meet their timing and quality expectations.”
